Climber day

To celebrate the 60th anniversary since Sir Edmund Hillary conquered Mt. Everest our school dressed as climbers.  This is also part of our term 3 inquiry about explorers.  There were ice axes, ropes, woolly hats and tramping boots.  We are practising hard for our upcoming production- Sir Ed, you're a legend on June 12th and 13th.

Kendal mint cake

Isabella's grandparents from England, kindly sent us some kendal mint cake.  It is a type of mint- rather than a cake! that was very popular among climbers and mountaineers as a source of energy.  Most of us tried some, the rest thought they had enough energy! Thank you!

Friends

This week we are looking at what makes a good friend. What sort of things does a good friend say and do?

Autumn art

We have created our own autumn tree by using paint and nature! Have a look at our photos to see how we made them and our finished product.

Organic rubbish bin liners

With our buddy class, room 1, we made organic rubbish bin liners. All you need is 2 pieces of newspaper, a stapler and some good folding and listening skills!

Happy Mother's Day

We made cards and painted pictures for our special mums.
We know that all our mum's are special, for different reasons; "my mum is special because....
She can climb mountains
She makes cd's
She can speak another language
She makes yummy biscuits for us.
And there is only one of her.
